I do not even know the way I finished up right here, however I believed this publish used to be good. I do not know who you're however certainly you are going to a well-known blogger when you aren't already. Cheers!

I'm so gratefull for the work u do. Mauruuru roa

What a wonderful job you've done on this site. I spent a few wonderful weeks visiting Tahiti in 1966. Unfortunately, the military had changed things quite a bit from the time most of your photos were taken (1946 - 1948). (preparations for BIG bomb testings) Yet the airport hadn't been there long enough for the comforts of vast numbers of tourists to have changed things to the Tahiti of today. (Don't like the changes so haven't been back.) I found your site via Googling "Tahiti, history, photos," and a few other experimental search words. Darned if I haven't spent a couple hours here--just lovin' it!

Truly, the songs of the rirhteous is prayer unto our Fther in Heaven, and He is touched as much as we can be. I love singing with you all Fare Mori... Your brother in the gospel. Fred

Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos of the Papeete, Tahiti Mission. My father, E. Bentley Mitchell, Jr. was the mission president in 1945-49. I was not born until 1950. Daddy died in 1959 and seeing these photos of him and my family is a bit of heaven for me! Suzanne
